Jennifer Hudson had the hard task of singing Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" in memorial to Whitney Houston who made this song a mega hit. With such courage and a stunning voice Hudson didn't disappoint however her makeup did. Hudson was a victim of two much makeup in a color that didn't match. Her face was saying Umpa Loopa but her arms were a beautiful coco. Poor thing.
Adele won many Grammys last night and her look was classic. There was a little too much contouring for my taste but her liquid liner and long lashes were beautiful. Before her performance Adele switched from a bright red lip (similar to MAC's Ruby Woo) to a pale pink gloss. To achieve Adele's winged eye use Laura Mercier's Cake Eyeliner in Black Ebony with the Tightline Activtor for lasting power. Then line the bottom lashes and waterline with a black pencil.

I had a client once ask me if our brand of foundation had parabens in
it because "my baby eats my face". My first instinct was to say "how
often is your baby eating your face".
The article below is very helpful in telling the truth about parabens, a
product used to preserve products and increase shelf life. study's
haven't shown that prolonged use an cause cancer however parabens are
found in cancer cells. Technology continues to grow and in a few years
I'm sure this won't be a concern anymore however read up here for more

TIPS
OK ladies, I've witnessed WAY too many women grab a lipgloss or mascara
tester from a department store or Sephora and just start putting it on.
Great! Thank you for spreading your germs to the next person who wants
to use that tester. Or even better who's to say that someone with herpes
or some nasty eye fungus didn't just do the same thing before you?
Yuck!
Very simply ladies ask for help. An associate should be happy to hand
you an applicator or some alcohol to clean the product before you try
it. Trust me no store wants a law suit so they will gladly do this for
you.
That being said. Let's talk about the germs lying in your own makeup bag. Something's to know
*everything cosmetic product has an icon on it of an open jar and a number plus the letter m in it. Like this http://www.vivawoman.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/p4060022.jpg
This is he amount of months after the product is opened that is should
be thrown out. After that time period the product could be harvesting
bacteria or change in consistency or color.
*mascara should be throw away 3 months after its first use.
*if you are sick and using lipstick you may want to clean it with a
spray of alcohol before using it again or else you may give yourself the
cold germs again.
*Try to wash your brushes at least every week if not every day.
*use your sense of smell. If there's a smell in the gloss, toss.
*and don't forget to clean out the inside of your makeup bag with a disinfectant wipe.

TIPS
It may seem common sense to some but to others finding a foundation that matches your color is a shot in the dark.
First find a texture that works best for your skin type (oily, dry, combination).
Next decide home much coverage you want (light, medium, full). It's a good idea to have two different kinds so you can wardrobe them. For example, a full coverage for a night out and a medium coverage for everyday wear.
Once you've selected your foundation try a swipe of three different colors on your chin. Start with the shade you or your salesperson think you are. The next to that color swipe a shade lighter and a shade darker onto the face. Don't blend it in. A good color match should blend seemlessly into your skin color without being rub in with a sponge. The chin is a good place to test because you can look at the color and compare it to your next to avoid having your face and neck be. Two different colors.
Good luck!

so many gorgeous faces at the Golden Globes last night. But Angelina Jolie and Zoey Dashanel are two beautiful ladies showed up looking like they for beat with an ugly stick.
I usually love Zoey's quirky hipster feminine style but last night was wrong wrong wrong. First off you can clearly see where her hair extensions were. And speaking of seeing, could she see anything through those bangs? Lastly the beauty and Rimmell rep was wearing way too much makeup making her look very old. More often then not less is more ladies.

One of my pet peeves is when someone where's red lipstick and doesn't do anything to the rest of their face. Yes your eye goes to the red lip first but then you look around a bit and notice laziness. Ugh! Though Angelina Jolie had a dark rimmed eye to support her red lip, it just came off very haphazard looking.
